About the experience

Some of the best-known rock climbing locations can be found in North Wales, particularly around the Eglwyseg valley. And that's exactly where you'll be heading for your rock climbing adventure! This location is perfect for both beginners and experienced climbers. It guarantees you a fun day out with thrilling activities. You should know that this is an adventure in its purest form. Your goal for the day is to climb two rockfaces and experience an exhilarating 90ft abseil drop. The whole escarpment magnificently rises from the hilltop just outside Llangollen. And the panoramic views of the North Wales countryside you'll witness from the top are nothing short of breathtaking. First, you will register and receive a warm welcome at the operator's centre, which is just a five-minute drive away from the climbing crags. You don't have to worry about equipment, as you'll be provided with everything you need, including ropes, a safety helmet, and harnesses. Your fully qualified instructor will give you a safety briefing, demonstrate the equipment and explain what to expect. Then, it's time to head off to those imposing crags, where you'll group up with a maximum of 10 climbers to one instructor. You'll be guided through two climbs, attached by safety ropes above and below. And remember, reaching the top is not the end of the story here. After taking in the panoramic views, it's time to descend with that thrilling 90ft abseil!

Becky, by email
I've just booked two places for climbing in North Wales in the hope my boyfriend will take me too! I'm sure he'll enjoy it whoever gets to go with him. Thanks again Into the Blue and see you again next year for his birthday (this is the second year running I've got his present for him from your website).

As I got a voucher for two to go climbing, I took my Dad along! I have to say, neither of us has ever even put on a harness, so we were both really chuffed that we managed both climbs and abseils! It is now something I hope to carry on doing.
