About the experience

If you're an amateur wildlife photographer or simply love birds of prey, these experiences are perfect for you. The focus is on capturing great shots of these magnificent raptors. Dan, the head falconer at this Derbyshire centre, came up with the idea of offering photographers exclusive time with the birds of prey. It's not easy to capture these elusive birds in the wild, often requiring a lot of waiting around. However, these sessions give you the opportunity to get up close to the birds with the help of their handlers. This centre in Derbyshire has a variety of species of birds of prey, including hawks, owls, and falcons. They are all highly trained and love to participate in displays and experience days, so they are comfortable being around people. In fact, they relish performing for the camera! Capturing a photo of a falcon with its full wingspan open is an amazing sight. You can also get a close-up shot of an eagle's eyes or capture the moment a hawk's beak grabs the meat titbit from the handler's glove. In essence, you'll have three hours with the birds and their handlers, giving you plenty of time to capture some amazing shots at this Derbyshire centre.
