About the experience

Discover an exciting archery experience in South Wales at the Brecon Beacons, an outdoor centre nestled in the foothills of the Black Mountains. Immerse yourself in stunning scenery and thrilling outdoor activities, with archery being one of the most popular. Located between Brecon and Hereford, this archery centre is easily accessible from all parts of South Wales and England yet far away from tourist crowds. The picturesque location provides plenty of space to have some fun and try out some new activities. Archery is a timeless sport, and Welsh archers were once the most feared in Europe. Now, you, too, can become an archery hotshot with the help of the South Wales team. They provide a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors, making sure you have a fantastic time. Before you begin, you will receive a safety briefing and get kitted out with modern recurve bows and protective gear. Once you're ready, head to the outdoor archery stands and take aim at traditional roundel-style targets. Instructors will be on hand to help you with your stance and aim, so no prior experience is necessary. Unlike many archery experiences that last just an hour, these 2.5-hour lessons give you extended time on the stand. You'll have plenty of time to pick up the basics, get used to shooting the arrows, and start progressing as you continue to take aim at the target. The experience is suitable for all ages, with children as young as eight years old able to participate.
