About the experience

Not many vintage or aerobatic flight experiences are quite as bonkers as this, a Wing Walking experience where you will be flying on the top wing of a genuine vintage Boeing Stearman biplane at Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent! Situated in the heart of the Kent countryside, 25 minutes west of Ashford, Headcorn is a former RAF airfield, which also hosts parachuting and vintage pleasure flights, and thus offers the perfect backdrop from which to take on a flying experience unlike any other. Upon arrival at the venue, you'll be welcomed by the ground crew team, who will take you through a full and thorough briefing, explaining and showing you everything, including climbing into and out of the harness that you'll be attached to. This is, as you might expect, an experience for the agile who are able to climb onto and off the top of the plane. And the nerves will build as you stand, strapped to the top wing of the plane, as it gathers speed and takes off up the runway and into the air, flying speeds of up to 120 mph! So if you're daring to do something a bit different whilst airborne, wing walking may well be it.
