About the experience
This is your chance to drive a fully functioning army tank, on this exclusive Tank Driving Experience at Bicester Heritage Centre in Oxfordshire! You'll be driving the Alvis CVR(T) Spartan Tank, also affectionately known as the 'sports tank', because of its impressive sporty engine and performance. The 4.2 litre, 6 cylinder petrol engine on this tank has been lifted directly from a Jaguar E-Type, offering out over 200 bhp, helping this aluminium fabricated tank to speeds of up to 50 mph. And not just forwards, but backwards as well, thanks to the semi automatic gearbox with 7 forward and reverse gears. It is certainly a tank built for speed and agility, and you'll get to enjoy a 20 minute driving session that's sure to be an unforgettable time if you're a big military enthusiast.
