About the experience

Join the delightful High Tea Cruise in Dorset and spend a lovely afternoon on board the vintage motor yacht Dorset Queen. You'll cruise around Poole while enjoying sweet and savoury teatime treats. Your adventure begins at Poole Quay, where you will board the charming boat Dorset Queen, built in 1938 and listed on the UK National Historic Ship Register. This vessel has had a fascinating working life, from operating as a cruise vessel in Scotland to being requisitioned by the Royal Navy to assist with the Dunkirk evacuations in WW2. After being fully restored in 2008 by the Dorset cruise team, this wonderful boat now sails along the Jurassic coastline in and around Poole. With a capacity of just 22, it's the perfect choice for small groups, families, and other get-togethers. The High Tea Cruise is one of the most popular sailings, departing at 1:30 pm. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the gorgeous coastal views from the upper deck, complete with a retractable canopy and Prosecco bar. On the lower deck, you'll find the seated saloons and the enclosed rear deck areas. Passengers often comment on how much more spacious and roomy the Dorset Queen is than they expected. The crew is welcoming and lovely, and they'll show you to your table where you'll be served a welcome glass of Prosecco followed by your afternoon tea. We highly recommend paying a small additional fee for the 'Bottomless' option, which allows you to keep sipping Prosecco throughout your cruise.
