60 Minute Gyrocopter Flight - Kent
About the experience
Who needs helicopters and microlights when you’ve got these glorious Gyrocopters? Although these quirky looking aircrafts were first used in 1919, they slipped under the flying radar until more recently, where they have grown in popularity. Without the need for a conventional engine to drive them, they are reliant on the force of the air to move forward which means they don’t only make for a quieter ride, but have a short take off and landing distance, giving you more time in the air. These modern aircraft are fully equipped with dual control and an open cockpit, meaning you are up close and personal with the landscapes over Kent as you take off from Rochester Airport. With this flight, not only will you get well acquainted with these aircrafts, but experience unique views over the Thames Estuary, Gravesend, Maidstone and Leeds Castle. Your pilot will offer you the chance to sit up front as you soar close to the landscape and feel the fresh breeze on your face. But not to worry, you will be kitted out in all the gear from helmets and radios to a fetching flying suit, protecting you against all of the unpredictable Kent weather. If you’re someone who loves flying, but are interested to try something new, a flight in a Gyrocopter is the perfect fit.
