About the experience

Are you looking for an exhilarating and unforgettable experience in Dorset? Look no further than clay pigeon shooting at Dorset's finest shooting ground! Set within 50 acres of heathland and conifer plantation, this shooting ground offers a perfect setting for shooting clays deep in the rolling countryside near Wareham, between Dorchester and Poole. Established in 1995, this family-run shooting school has been named Clay Shooting School of the Year. Founder Graham Brown, a skilled shooter and local resident of Dorset, has created a unique topography that allows for the creation of naturalistic clay pigeon target scenarios. The school prides itself on having a complete range of shotguns and ammunition, with guns that are deliberately lighter and easier to use for younger shooters as young as 12 years old. The target stands are spread throughout the 50-acre ground and include all-weather covered ones, a high tower, and stands suitable for disabled access. Upon arrival, your clay pigeon instructor will welcome you and provide a detailed lesson outlining all the safety aspects before you start shooting. Your expert tutor will give you advice on technique throughout, and you will have the opportunity to shoot at clays launched at different speeds and angles. The lesson takes place on the practice site, and if you progress well, you will move on to end your session on the school's main shooting course. This professional shooting centre in Dorset is open all year round for clay pigeon and simulated game shooting for individuals or small groups. Whether you're a novice or an experienced shooter, this experience promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that will leave you feeling exhilarated and wanting more. Don't miss out on this opportunity to take aim at the clays and experience the thrill of clay pigeon shooting in Dorset.
