About the experience
Discover the thrill of microlighting in Staffordshire at this welcoming club! With experienced instructors Mick, Dave, or Neil guiding you through your trial lesson, you are in great hands. Mick, a microlight veteran since the '70s, brings extensive knowledge and expertise as an aircraft inspector and a CAA-appointed examiner. Meanwhile, Neil, with his passion for new challenges, has been instructing in microlights since 2014, including flying over the picturesque snow-peaked summits of the French Alps! This airfield near Lichfield and Tamworth, being owner-run and operated, ensures minimal air traffic, allowing for an immersive experience of flying in these ultralight planes, enjoying breathtaking views, and even trying your hand at the controls. The school offers a range of fixed and flex-winged microlights, including the Pegasus Quantum, Quasar, and Skyranger Swift. These easy-to-handle and obedient microlights fly at around 60mph. Overall, microlighting in Staffordshire promises a laid-back and thrilling experience that you're bound to love.
