About the experience
This extensive 4 hour photography masterclass for photography novices in the beautiful cathedral city of York is sure to offer all the expertise and skills whilst exploring this stunning corner of the UK as you never have before, whilst capturing it on camera! Paul, your class leader, is an experienced photographer with over 40 years’ worth of experience behind the lens, and his teaching style is, as you’ll discover, quite laidback and fun - so the optimum way to pick up your camera and discover your own personal style of photography. Whilst most beginners will come along with a DSLR camera, any camera that has the ability to manually select the focus and exposure will work just as well for this session, and you can also bring any additional lenses along if you have those. Your masterclass will be hosted at a hotel in York city centre, going into comprehensive depth on all the basic aspects of photography that will help you to take brilliant photographs. Over the four hours you’ll have with Paul, you’ll get the opportunity to take a deeper dive into using ISO and shutter speed techniques, and learning how to take street photography in monochrome. Of course, there’ll also be an exploration of what to do with the photos beyond completion of the masterclass. So you’ll also be given an editing tutorial using the Lightroom app, as well as a copy of Paul’s photography e-book with plenty of handy tips and tricks. And because this masterclass is run on a one-to-one basis, it is really tailored to you and the pace you want to learn at.
