30 Minute Open Cockpit Gyrocopter Lesson - Manchester
About the experience
Embrace the power of the natural elements in this open cockpit gyrocopter flight across Manchester. If you’ve never heard of gyrocopter before now, you will wish you had. These nifty vehicles are a bit like a helicopter, but uses an unpowered rotor to develop lift which means it’s reliant on the flow of air to make it rotate and move. They are a marvel of aircraft engineering and also pretty fun to fly too and a great way to explore somewhere new. Departing from Manchester City Airport west of Salford you will immediately be treated to incredible views over this historic city at the beating heart of the North West of England. There’s truly something special and unique about feeling the open air on your face as you slice through the air, but because the British weather is unpredictable, we prepare you for all eventualities in providing helmets and a flying suit for your journey. This MTO Sport by Auto Gyro is also dual controlled, which means if you’re feeling adventurous you can even have a go with the controls yourself. Be prepared to fall in love with gyrocopters on this trial lesson as you experience incredible views out over the city whilst getting acquainted with this unique style of flying.
