30 Minute Microlight Flying Lesson - Wiltshire
About the experience
Become the pilot of your flying dreams as you soar in a microlight over the North Wessex downs in Wiltshire. Departing from Clench Common is an experience in itself, as it has often posed challenges for even the most experienced pilots as the close proximity to the North Wessex downs makes the thermals pretty tricky for take off and landings. However, the C42 you’ll be flying is known for having forgiving handling, so mastering ‘straight and level’ flying should be more than doable in this lesson. Clench Common was originally part of RAF Overton Health and used as a training base before being closed in 1948 where it immediately went into farming use. Nowadays, it has a reputation for being one of the most incredible small airfields to fly from because of the countryside views of North Wessex and the reputation of the owner, and chief Flying instructor, Graham who has been teaching since 1991. If you have any reservations about flying, rest assured you’ll be in the best hands here and be learning in one of the nicest microlights around. The C42 is a fully closed cockpit, meaning you’ll be sheltered from the blustery winds and there is more year round flexibility for when you can fly. With all the equipment provided, expert instructors and spectacular views promised, this is the perfect package for a flying lesson.
