About the experience
Available nationwide, these 30-minute helicopter flying lessons are available at a whole host of locations and are completely flexible, meaning it is completely up to you where and when you decide to embark on your lesson. Each lesson starts with a flight safety briefing, addressing a lot of essentia safety rules and directions you will need to follow. Now it’s time to climb into the helicopter and get you comfortable and strapped in. Here the instructor will perform the last checks and inspections before its time to lift off. After gaining some height and when you are comfortable to do so, the instructor will introduce you to each of the three basic helicopter controls. Your instructor will let you know when it is safe to begin flying. Make sure to follow their instructions carefully. With practice, you will become a master of helicopter flying in no time! During this time you will learn about pitching the nose of the helicopter up or down, or rolling from left or right. You will grip what is known as the collective, which will enable the helicopter the ability to move up or down. Your feet will be positioned on the rudder pedals which will control the direction in which the helicopter is pointing. There is a lot to think about, but don’t panic, you will have someone guiding you every step of the way.
