This brilliant flying club boasts two runways on what originally was Treswithick farm in Bodmin. All lessons begin with a sign in a registration at the clubhouse, where you'll be introduced to the pilot who will be getting you airborne. And you'll be in great hands, this flying club has been operating and taking pupils since 1972. As soon as you’re up in the air you will be greeted with the amazing views of Bodmin, heading South West towards St. Austell and Truro for excellent Cornish views. Then when gaining more hight you will see the whole coastline and beyond to the Celtic Sea and the English Channel. and of course dont forget, once airborne and at level flight - the controls will be handed to you to fly the aircraft. Highly recommended! Amazing experience! The pilot was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I was given the choice of routes and ended up flying over my house! Superb!

An amazing experience. I have always wanted to fly a light plane,but never thought i would.I was given a voucher for my 70th birthday. The pilot was a retired airline pilot so i felt i was in good hands. He gave me a lot of information about the plane before we took off and i felt very comfortable when he asked me to take control.i would recommend this to anyone.I will be flying again in the future.

Having a taster flight at bodmin was great. All pre trip phone calls were polite, accurate and helpful. On the day the team were welcoming even to the children with us. Our pilot was very helpful and explained lots to me. Had plenty of time in control which made it. Fab present, great team and location. Sadly addicted to it now, and might cost me lots in regular trips!

Wow! This was a surprise birthday present from my husband to me. What an incredible experience. The weather was perfect and visibility was great. We were able to fly over my home town of Fowey and I got to see our house from the air!! From the moment we arrived, very warm welcome and roaring woodburner. Everyone was so friendly and lot's of useful information. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this as something a bit different and out of the ordinary and as an amazing taster of enjoying a perfect bird's eye view of our beautiful county!

Warm welcome from everyone at Cornwall Flying Club at Bodmin airfield. Instructor explained what we would do and where the flight would go and once in plane explained controls. After take off took control of plane for some time but plenty of time to take photos of lovely scenery. Great experience

After a 30 minute delay on take off due to a puncture we soon reached an altitude of nearly 3 thousand feet and were soon over the south coast of Cornwall taking in the sights of the river Fowey, Fowey itself and Plymouth in the distance. Thankfully it was quite a clear day with little turbulance which would knock the little Ikarus off course. Quite good fun and hope to be up there again soon.
