Discover the thrill of flying from Beverley Airfield, where a wide range of flying lessons will take you on an unforgettable journey over the stunning Yorkshire Wolds. Operating its own airfield near Leven in Yorkshire, the club provides exceptional value flying lesson options for personalized, one-on-one instruction. The flying club, which has a rich history dating back to 1930, has been located at Beverley (Linley) Airfield since 1991. Once airborne, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Yorkshire Wolds, the coastline, the River Humber, the wind farm, and the nearby reservoirs, which serve as visual markers for pilots approaching the airfield. The airfield features a single grass runway and is surrounded by scenic farmland, offering a peaceful setting away from controlled airspace and restricted flight paths. During the 90-minute land-away experience, you will fly to another airfield in or around the Yorkshire area, land, take a short break, and then take off again for your return flight to Beverley Airfield. Throughout the journey, you will practice navigation exercises and have ample opportunities to take the controls, making it perfect for those seeking a firsthand experience of light aircraft flying while interacting with the instructor. All experiences include a pre-flight safety briefing and a tour of the cockpit controls. - Trial flights include complimentary refreshments for participants and spectators
- There is no minimum age at this airfield
- Consent of a parent or guardian is required for anyone under 18
- Maximum limits for two-seater flights are 18 stone and 6'6"
- Those above these limits can usually be accommodated in the four-seater (additional fees apply)
- Photographic ID may be requested
- Passenger numbers on four-seater flights are subject to overall weight limits and are at the discretion of the club
