About the experience

The Tiger Moth biplane is one heritage aircraft that still holds a high degree of affection for aviation enthusiasts - particularly military aviation. So where better a place to take flight in this iconic plane than from the historic Imperial War Museum in Duxford? You'll be a VIP passenger for the day, taking flight in a faithfully restored Tiger Moth that's part of a fleet of four based at Duxford. First designed as a training aircraft by de Havilland in the 1930s, continuing its use in training until it was demobbed in 1954, and this particular biplane, which is the DF112 Tiger Moth, respectfully reflects this with the standard trainer aircraft livery of bright yellow utilised throughout. You'll get to enjoy an exciting 20 minute flight sat in the open cockpit with the pilot at the controls. Then when you're back on terra firma, you can continue your exploration through military aviation history with your complimentary entrance to the Imperial War Museum. All in all, it promises to be an exciting and informative day!
