About the experience
Want to experience seeing “God’s own country” from many thousands of feet up in the air? Then this helicopter flight will give you a taste of North Yorkshire from a birds eye view. You’ll be taking off from a former RAF base just outside the historic cathedral city of York, at Elvington Airfield. Used primarily as an air base for Halifax heavy bombers from RAF Elvington - as it was known then - as well as being used after the war by French squadrons and the US American Air Force, who at one time used it as a Strategic Air Command base - although it was never fully operational. Today, civil aviation has returned to this popular airfield which is surrounded by stunning Yorkshire countryside, and you’ll get to see this and the surrounding area as you never have before, and the far reaching views beyond that are sure to leave a lasting impression.

All passengers will be weighed before flight and if disparity exists between weight disclosed and actual weight (within reason), the passenger may be illegible to fly

Please note that the maximum weight limit for the Co Pilot Seat on a helicopter pleasure flight varies depending on aircraft and other operational considerations (subject to availability upgrade payable direct)
If as a party of one you weigh in excess of 15 stone, you may still be able to fly however you will need to purchase an additional seat. This seat will either have to remain unoccupied or can be occupied by an individual as long as the combined total as listed above is not exceeded
