About the experience

Have you ever tried clay pigeon shooting? If not, now's your chance to experience this thrilling activity in Wiltshire. Located close to Swindon and Barbury Castle, this shooting school offers an array of outdoor adventures, with clay pigeon shooting being one of the most popular. You'll receive personalized gun tuition from an experienced instructor who will teach you how to aim and fire a shotgun. With their guidance, you'll have the chance to hit some clay targets. Safety is paramount, and the instructor will provide a full demonstration of safe gun handling. You'll be kitted out with a shooting vest, safety glasses, and ear protection, ensuring you are comfortable and safe throughout your experience. The range of shotguns provided by the school caters to different builds, with women's and junior guns also available. You'll be taken to North Wiltshire's foremost shooting range to practice shooting at clays. The shooting experience includes both driven and crossing clays. Driven clays are fired from traps close to the ground, simulating pheasants being startled into flight. Crossing clays replicate the classic image of clay pigeon shooting, where the chalky targets fly across the open sky. In the 100-clay experience, you'll have the chance to learn group shooting techniques. You'll work as a team to bring down as many clays as possible within a set time limit, mastering flushes and flurries.
