Kayaking in Wales
About the experience
The River Wye is a beautiful setting for a Full Day of Kayaking. Learn the basics of the watersport from experienced and qualified BCU instructors. After being welcomed, briefed and given all your kit, it will be time to get on the water. Your day will last around 5-6 hours and will be split into morning and afternoon. During the morning you will get a hang of the basics like balancing and steering. The day is suitable for all abilities, a lot of beginners aren't comfortable taking part in the capsize drill and you don't have to with this session. For the afternoon, you will head off down the River Wye to put your new skills to the test. By the end of day you will be confident on the water and can enjoy taking part in some games on your way along the river while enjoying the fantastic views in the Brecon Beacons.
